So sorry for the lapse in posts--it's been a crazy time in the Guiley household. Kalan had his bone marrow/stem cell transplant on January 5th and is doing amazingly well. This transplant is WAY easier on Kalan (and Jennie, too!) than the last and we are incredibly hopeful. As of a week before transplant, Kalan's latest scan results showed "NO EVIDENCE OF DISEASE!" The transplant will track down the last few lingering cancer cells and blast them away.
We are incredibly thankful to Kalan's amazing sister, Micaela, for her bone marrow donation. What a life saver!!! We love you Micaela!!!

ReplyDeleteCongrats on your recovery. One of my friends just went through a Stem Cell Transplant two years ago in Rochester, MN for hodgkin's lymphoma.
